What is Network ?
A network is connection of two or more computers that enables these computers to share resources and communicate with each other. There are two Types of Networks.1. LAN ( Local Area Network )
2. WAN ( Wide Area Network )

Most LANs include a network file server - a dedicated computer that runs the network software and store shared files.
Workstations are connected via wire cables, fiber-optics or radio frequencies.
LANs are often found in offices and schools,places where computers are located on one site.

WAN ( Wide Area Network ) |
WAN : A WAN enables the connection of two or more computers in multiple locations.
Users are able to access data when they are away from their main workplaces.
Users can connected to a WAN using telephone or ISDN lines or via a virtual Private Network (VPN)
Servers are required for a WAN to operate. The Internet is an example of a WAN.
